Ratings (1-10): video: 8 / audio: 8 / additional content: 8 / overall: 8.

This PAL DVD boxset edition has been mastered from very-good to excellent 35mm source materials, likely those held by La Cinémathèque française film archive. The print is a bit compromised by dust, speckling, emulsion scrapes, schmutz, visible splices, vertical scratches, frame jitters and other flaws. That said, the overall viewing experience is very-good, especially on upscaling HD systems.

The film is presented with an excellent music score composed and performed on piano by Neil Brand.

This is our recommended home video of the film. North American collectors will need a region-free PAL DVD player capable of outputting an NTSC-compatible signal to view this edition.
