Ratings (1-10): video: 8 / audio: 7 / additional content: 7 / overall: 6.

This abbreviated DVD edition of A Girl’s Folly, also known as A Movie Romance, has utlized a very-good-to-excellent 35mm source print for the slightly windowboxed sepia-toned natural-speed video transfer. The tonal ranges are broad and image detail very-good. Viewing the disc on high-definition equipment is a pleasure.

The film exerpts are accompanied by an excellent music score performed on piano and violin.

Included on this documentary disc as an example of Fort Lee filmmaking, and also as a wry look by filmmakers at their industry, we hope that someday the entire film will be made available.
